Swansea Photography

I’m always keen to develop my skills in photography and the dark room so i started taking close up photographs of nature with my film camera.

My skills were a little rusty but after many attempts of trying to get the right contrast, focus and detail i managed to print the photo above. I was trying to include depth in the photograph by focusing on the middle ground, blurring the background and the foreground.

What you’re seeing in the image above are reflections on wet bark, the image is supposed to be portrait but i quite like the landscape feel. I might overlay a drawing i have of the sea (closely matching the lighter areas) and land over the darker areas.SCN_0002

Although i need to work on the contrast of this image, i quite like the soft effect and the subtle blur of focus.
